Israel's security forces arrested 6 Arabs from village of Ghajar in the Golan Heights, for planning attacks against civilians, soldiers with powerful explosive devices they obtained from Hezbollah. The suspects were arrested last month. The plot was foiled after the main defendant, Diab Kahamuz, had forgotten where he had hidden the explosives, which were later discovered by a local farmer in a grove near Rd 90. The explosives were smuggled from Lebanon into Israel in May. Diab, who retrieved the explosives, hid them in the grove. He was instructed by Hezbholla to carry out bombings in crowded places in Haifa. On July, a farmer from Metula found the bag containing 2 explosive devices, and after full investigation the Shin Bet exposed the cell.
