A high end bank robber criminal organization was put to an end or at least and extreme downgrade after a shootout with S~ao Paulo's finest today.
Their modus operandi was chosing small cities with light police forces and attack it with high calliber weapons, military tacitcs and fast actions to overwhelm the small city PD so they can blow up ATM's and recover high ammounts of cash.
In this case this wasnt quite sucessfull once the intelligence warned the police command about a high possibility of this attack take place on this little town, making several teams of the elite unit called "ROTA" being sent to the city and take cover in key locations as escape routes and points of interest.
When the criminal cames, they did in form of 30 well armed man with know how on how to use their equipment and how to combat with eficiency, but they didnt expected the police force to be reinforced in numbers and elite units, leading with a massive shootout while the grup tried to escape the city in several cars.
11 criminals was killed and several others arrested, during the stand-off a group made a family of hostage, but the cops invaded their house and free them with no harm done to the innocent, but the hostage takers was killed as well.
No cop was hurt.
