"Petrousha" is a classical Russian cuisine restaurant, located in the historic building of the former Horse Life Guards Regiment barracks of St Petersburg, Russia.
In the end of November, 2018, the new Chief of restaurant, Artur Goshev, revised an old menu and presented the new one. It's a contemporary vision of still the classical Russian dishes.
I was invited for one of tasting dinners, organized for media persons.
During a dinner we had:
STARTER - Bone marrow with parsley and pine nut sauce
BLINI (PANCAKES) - Pancakes with cod liver, sea buckthorn mayonnaise and pickled celery
MAIN COURSE - Duck leg with wheat and Kvass wort sauce
DESSERT - Ryazhenka mousse with honey dry cake and meringue
DRINKS - Apple sbiten (spicy syrup, apple flavored vodka, lemon juice, nutmeg) and Chokeberry tincture.
