It's a test of true love - carrying your other half through a 250m obstacle course without dropping her in the mud.
Fifty men stepped up to the challenge in Maine on Saturday, at the annual North American Wife-Carrying Championship.
The winning couple will travel to Finland next year to compete against dozens of other triumphant twosomes at the international wife-carrying event.
