Footage shot by security cameras shows the moment a group of five young men disarm a military police officer during a traffic fight and shoot the officer with his own gun.
The crime occurred on Friday night (12) at Rua Jos'e Primo Lerussi in Franco da Rocha, Greater S~ao Paulo. After being shot, the police officer was hospitalized and will be operated on to remove the bullet. The five assailants were arrested.
According to police, the five assailants were in a car and were driving down the road. The officer of the Military Police (PM) complained and there began the fight.
Filming begins with the police officer outside the car. The soldier was off duty and did not wear a uniform.
The PM disappears from the image and when he reappears it is with his gun in hand dodging a man trying to attack him.
In all, in addition to the officer, five men appear in the pictures. They are holding bottles in their hands. The soldier gets in the car and tries to close the door to leave.
But one of the men, the most violent, does not let him. The main aggressor leans his body inside the car, assaults the PM and steals his weapon.
The PM gets up and tries to pull away. But he takes hits in the head. One of the attackers grabs the victim's waist. It is at this moment that the other who had stolen his gun shoots. The group leave with the policeman on the ground.
All the attackers are expected to be charged for attempted murder.
