A flash flood warning remained in force in the Hawaiian island of Kauai, local media reported on August 28.
Heavy rains poured on already-flooded areas in the early morning, prompting authorities to evacuate more than 20 homes in Koloa as stream levels rose in the area. Schools were also closed due to waterlogged roads and highways blocking main transport routes.
