Kiev promises an earthquake in the Kremlin. The forecast, however, came not from geologists, but from ukrop politicians. Guessing by the fiascos in the rehearsals that have made headlines (BUK rammed into business centre, "mighty" T-84 broke down) no one expects the parade to cause an earthquake in evil Kremlin, but some people might explode with laughter. The first Ukrainian tank allegedly modernized to NATO standards a "Yatagan" - did not reach the dress rehearsal for the military parade to celebrate the Independence Day of Ukraine. The fighting vehicle simply stalled at the crossroads in the center of Kiev. The tank died at the intersection of the streets of Marshal Rybalko and Vyacheslav Chernovil. According to eyewitnesses, smoke was streaming from the T-84-120. It stood there for a couple of hours, after which a truck removed the tank. By the way, it wasn't just some tank that broke down in Kiev. It was a T-84-120 Yatagan tank, the machine that the Ukrainian defense industry has been working so hard on and is very proud of. There's only one of them so far. The technology used isn't new. The machine is a modification of a T-84 Oplot tank intended for sale to the Turkish military. By the way, Turkey turned down the work of Ukrainian scientists and engineers. The main advantage of this machine over the Oplot tank is its cannon, tailored for ammunition used by NATO members.
