Major snowfall across Spain caused disruption to traffic and air travel on Monday, while Real Madrid football team was forced to cancel training.

Real Madrid cancelled scheduled training on Monday afternoon at the Valdebebas complex, which has no indoor pitches.
At Madrid's main airport, Adolfo Su'arez Madrid-Barajas, officials closed a runway.
Madrid's city hall put out a weather alert and advised people to only use public transport if possible.
Spanish airport authority AENA has enacted a so-called Winter Plan to prevent any further runway closures, and orange weather warnings are being issued across the much of Spain as the snowfall and cold temperatures will continue until Thursday.
