The Binghamton Police Department released new details Tuesday afternoon following a deadly crash Monday evening near the intersection of Laurel Avenue and Main Street.Binghamton Police charged Jennifer Grenchus, 36, of Vestal with vehicular manslaughter. Authorities say Grenchus is suspected of being impaired by drugs when she hit and killed Ronald Richardson, 47, of Binghamton with her 2010 Hyundai Elantra.
At approximately 5:44 p.m., Binghamton police were called to the parking lot of Tom's Cards and Gifts at 184 Main Street where they found Grenchus and her vehicle. Richardson was found pinned underneath Grenchus vehicle.
Police, firefighters and people in the area were able to flip Grenchus' car off Richardson.
