One person was killed and three were left injured after a car carrying Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) monitors in the Lugansk region drove across a land mine, Sunday. It is currently unclear what individual or force may have placed the mine.
Two OSCE automobiles were present on site; the second one was not affected by the explosion.
The crew reportedly deviated from the main route and was moving along minor roads, which is prohibited by the mandate of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission.
