Assemble the 383. Had to do a little custom clearance to a few bearings to get the perfect .0022 oil clearance. then install crank rods and pistons. Add oil pump and shaft. Oil pan is just attached to catch drippings still have to put rear main seal housing on and weld the oil pump pick up tube. Put the cam, roller lifters dog bones and retainer. Installed the AFR heads with ARP bolts. Got my son to do the hard work setting torque on 17 bolts three times each PER head. and finally I started on the rocker geometry figured the Push rod length at 7.325. was to tired to cut and assemble 16 pushrods so I mocked up the valve covers and intake to see how well the stock covers would hide the monster 383 inside.
